Story of the Stool

When we bought our workshop it was left in as-is condition. Complete with a bunch of the previous owner's belongings. Amongst the wreckage was this old stool with a cracked and torn nylon 'cushion'. Somehow it escaped the first 20 or so dump runs from the property. Finally one day it was decision time. This stool could not exist the remodeled shop any longer. It had to be reborn, or removed. We are reclaimers through and through, salvagers, savers (Read homestead hoarders).

It was the stools lucky day. We had recently cut down a load of beetle killed spruce trees for firewood and found some to have beautiful red rings near their trunks. The early stages of a rot that would eventually take over the tree. We cut a cookie off one of these logs and replaced the tattered old nylon trash cushion with a little bit of nature. 

Even though it has been reborn, the honest truth is that this stool still doesn't really have a good place in our workshop.  So we figure we'll leave it up to you to find it a better home. The stool is located in Homer, Alaska. We could find a ride up the road to anchorage for it easy enough.
