Remote Property Problems?
We Can Get There.
Practical help for cabins, lodges and remote properties throughout Southeast Alaska.
Tree clearing. Construction. Repairs. Sawmilling. Mechanical problems. Storm damage. Unusual situations…
Some places
are worth the trouble.
Keeping them that way takes work.
Tree falls. Project stalls. Equipment goes kaput.
That winter wind sure can blow – We know how it goes. What a remote property owner needs is a homesteader friend, indeed!
We bring the workshop with us.
We live and work year-round aboard Alaskan Gypsy, carrying the tools, equipment and supplies to take on projects where getting everything to the job is half the challenge. Boat access is not an obstacle, it’s how we get to work.
What can we help with?
Alaska’s environment is always working on your property.
Sometimes you need somebody working back.
Hazard Trees & Clearing
Problem trees, stormfall, overgrowth and access clearing. If it needs to come down, get out of the way or stop threatening the cabin, let’s have a look.
Construction & Carpentry
Cabins, roofs, framing, repairs and unfinished projects that could use another capable set of hands.
Sawmilling & Timber framing
Got trees and need lumber? We can mill on site and turn local timber into beams, boards and structures instead of hauling everything in.
Repairs & Field Problem Solving
Broken equipment, welding, mechanical problems and things that don’t fit neatly into a contractor category. Show us what’s wrong. We’ll see what we can do.
Storm Damage Response
Trees down, roofs damaged, buildings exposed or something generally gone sideways? We’ll assess it, stabilize what we can and help get things under control.
Property Assesment & Care
Can’t get there yourself? We’ll put capable eyes on the property, document what we find, handle immediate problems and help figure out what happens next.
Watch us work
We’ve been known to make a video or two about our projects.
